We journeyed to the edge of civilization, only to reach a wedding oasis. We filmed the whole thing and made this music video for Finnish faves LAPKO. The song is 'River Venom' from an album called ΓΟΛΕ.

I rode my bike to Williamsburg on behalf of Vogue to gain a little access to the girls of HBO's Girls. As with any good brunch, we reminisced about being hapless and underpaid in NYC while sipping mimosas....oh the laughs!! Not really, but you get the idea.

We like strange places. While in Bombay, wandering through Dharavi, Asia's largest slum, we found some men who make dye for a living. Hanging out with some dye-makers, under a sewage pipe, seemed like a good place to shoot this experimental short documentary.

We were honored when our favorite violinist, and Frenchman, Scott Tixier announced he was not only making his first solo jazz-album, but wanted us to make the film for it.

The result is this behind the scenes featurette, exploring his creative process, and the making of his incredible album Brooklyn Bazaar, available this March on jazz label Sunnyside Records.

Dear Reader,

In the Dark Ages of online video (2007-2008) I wrote/produced/shot/edited Black20 News for now-defunct Black20.com. Hosted by comedienne Jessie Cantrell, B20 News was - according to many scholars* - groundbreaking in its ability to not be terrible. This episode was our version of a "60 Minutes"-style examination of a pressing and complicated cultural issue....use of the word "hipster".

Sincerely,
Sam Winter
